Rollo Privacy Policy
Effective: September 23, 2026
Rollo is a subscription tracker. It is built so that your subscriptions stay on your phone: there is no account, no sign-in and no Rollo server that stores what you enter.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- your subscriptions (names, prices, currencies, billing dates, trials, categories, spaces, notes, reminder settings) and their price history,
- your settings (base currency, language, appearance, reminder time),
- the exchange rates Rollo has downloaded.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your device. We never see them.
What leaves your device
Rollo connects to the internet for three things only. None of them receives your subscription list.
1. Exchange rates. Once a day Rollo downloads public currency rates from Frankfurter and, as a fallback, from fawazahmed0/exchange-api (served through jsDelivr and Cloudflare). The request only asks for the day’s rates. It contains no information about you or your subscriptions. Like any web request, it reveals your device’s IP address to those services.
2. Purchases (RevenueCat). Rollo Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and restore them on another device. RevenueCat receives your purchase history for Rollo (for example, that Rollo Pro was bought and when), your device’s App Store receipt, a random identifier it creates for this installation, and basic device information (such as the OS version, app version, locale and storefront). The identifier is anonymous: it is not tied to your name, email or any account. It is shown in Settings → Support as your support code. We do not see your payment details; Apple handles payment.
3. Crash reports (Sentry). If Rollo crashes or hits an error, a report is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It contains technical information: the error and where in the code it happened, device model, OS and app version, and the screens visited just before. It is set up not to include personal information and it never contains your subscriptions.
How we use the data
- Exchange rates: to show your totals in your base currency.
- Purchase data: to unlock Rollo Pro, restore it, prevent fraud and see how many purchases were made.
- Crash reports: to find and fix bugs.
We do not use any data for advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites, we do not sell data and we do not share it with data brokers.
Third parties
The services above only process data to provide their service to Rollo, under their own privacy policies and terms, which commit them to protecting that data at least as well as this policy does:
- RevenueCat: privacy policy
- Sentry: privacy policy
- Apple (payments, App Store): privacy policy
Retention and deletion
- On your device: your data stays until you delete it. Deleting a subscription removes it and its price history. Deleting Rollo removes everything it stored on the device. Backup files you export are yours: they are stored wherever you save them, and you delete them there.
- Purchases: RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as they are needed to provide and restore your purchase and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
- Crash reports: kept for a limited time (up to 90 days), then deleted.
You can ask us to delete the purchase data linked to your support code, or ask any question about your data, by writing to ysnbyzli.dev@gmail.com with your support code (Settings → Support). Deleting purchase records does not refund a purchase; refunds are handled by Apple.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU, the UK GDPR, Türkiye’s KVKK or California’s CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because Rollo keeps your subscriptions only on your device, you already control them fully. For purchase data or crash reports, contact us at the address above; we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Rollo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
